Jake Abel Engaged to Allie Woods

Sorry, ladies: The Host‘s Jake Abel is off the market! The Ohio-raised actor proposed to fashion blogger Allie Woods in New York City. “We got engaged on New Year’s,” Abel, 25, reveals in the collector’s edition of Us Weekly Special: The Host.

At the Cinema Society screening of the film in New York City March 27, the actor said he hasn’t fully grasped the immensity of The Host, which was adapted from Twilight author Stephenie Meyer‘s 2008 science-fiction novel. “So far, they’ve been really, really nice,” Abel told Us of the screaming girls. “My fiancee is very supportive. She’s like, ‘Wear that! It’s more handsome. They’ll like you more!’ It’s good. I got a good one.”

Abel — who once auditioned to play Edward Cullen in Twilight, a role that famously went to Robert Pattinson — was less forthcoming about his wedding plans. “I’m not telling you,” he said twice with a smirk.
