An accomplished actress in film, television and theater, Jennifer Garner got her start on the stage, graduating from Denison University in 1996 with a degree in theater. After a series of small roles, Garner made her breakthrough in Hollywood starring as Sidney Bristow in the ABC series Alias from 2001 to 2006, earning a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and four Emmy nominations for the role.
Garner later starred in Daredevil (2003), 13 Going on 30 (2004), Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009), The Invention of Lying (2009), Valentine’s Day (2010), Dallas Buyers Club (2013), Love, Simon (2018), The Adam Project (2022) and appeared on the Apple TV+ limited series The Last Thing He Told Me (2023).
Garner met her first husband, Scott Foley, on the set of Felicity in the late ’90s. The twosome married in 2000 but called it quits three years later. She then moved on with her Alias costar Michael Vartan, whom she dated from August 2003 to mid-2004.
After establishing a bond on the sets of Pearl Harbor and Daredevil, Garner and Ben Affleck sparked a romance in 2004. The pair tied the knot in June 2005 and share three children: daughters Violet and Seraphina, who were born in 2005 and 2009, respectively, and son Samuel, who was born in 2012. Garner and Affleck announced their split in 2015 and finalized their divorce three years later.
In October 2018, Us broke the news that Garner was dating businessman John Miller. The pair split in August 2020 but reconciled in May 2021.
