Sam Smith Loses 14 Pounds in 14 Days: Pictures

Leave those extra pounds! Sam Smith took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 18, and debuted a seriously slimmed-down figure. The “Leave Your Lover” singer revealed he has lost 14 pounds in just 14 days.

“Three weeks ago I met a woman who has completely changed my life,” the 22-year-old Grammy winner explained on Instagram on Tuesday, March 17. “Amelia Freer has helped me lose over a stone in 2 weeks and has completely transformed my relationship with food. Everyone go check out her incredible book, and start to live healthy. It's not even about weight loss it's about feeling happy in yourself. Love you Amelia & thank you for making me feel so happy inside and out @ameliafreer #eatnourishglow.”

Freer, a certified nutritional therapist and author of Eat. Nourish. Glow, reveals on her website that she follows a “gluten, dairy, and refined sugar free” diet and her plan resonates “most closely with the paleo concept.” When working with clients, though, she calls upon her “extensive study, training and expertise…to help clients achieve their health goals which can be many and varied.”

The British crooner, for his part, credits his weight loss to simply “eating clean.” The singer posted a delicious-looking meal to his Instagram days before debuting his weight loss and gave Freer a shout-out on the snap of fruit.

The slimmed-down star is also putting in time at the gym. “Gym is kicking my ass today,” he captioned a photo of himself on Instagram on Wednesday. 

Smith’s weight loss comes weeks after he was ridiculed by shock jock Howard Stern. In January, Stern unexpectedly went off on the singer, calling him a “fat ugly mother—ker.” “He’s fat and he’s gay and little girls worship him,” the radio host added.

“Can’t believe what I’ve just read,” Smith later tweeted. “Ignore.”
